Get Away Destination - The Royal Cliff Beach Hotel
Wednesday, May 29th, 1974The Royal Cliff Beach Hotel is a new concept in resort development for Thailand and one that for a variety of reasons appears to be most opportune. In next month’s issue of BIT there is an article on the impact of the energy crisis on tourism in the Pacific area which includes all the countries of Southeast Asia. The thrust of the author’s remarks is that the numbers of tourist arrivals in the region will continue to grow over the long-term at a rate approximately double that of the average for the world in general but that for the next few years this regional growth rate will drop substantially. And this deceleration will give the hotels and the resorts of the region a much needed breathing space in which to recover their equilibrium after the last few years of hectic expansion.
