Popular Indian Film Stars on Location at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort

The Royal Cliff Beach Resort recently welcomed popular Indian film stars Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi. The actors arrived at the resort as part of a production team on a 10-day filming of a movie titled “Golmaal”.

Golmaal, which means “deception”, is a fun-filled high action film that centres around four friends who are conmen. Leading character actor Paresh Rawal and actresses Rimi Sen and Sushmita Mukherjee also were among the 50-member crew. The team filmed various locations in the resort for a couple of songs. They also shot a few scenes on yachts and sail boats in the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Siam and at the nearby tropical island Koh Larn, a well-known tourist spot located just 15 minutes away from the resort. Produced by Dhilin Mehta and directed by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal is slated for release during June 2006.

Featured in numerous films, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort, which is a complete destination in itself, is no stranger to welcoming popular global personalities and movie celebrities.

Pattaya City and Royal Cliff Beach Resort Win “Star of Travel.Ru” Awards for 2005

Pattaya City and the Royal Cliff Beach Resort recently won the Star of Travel.Ru Awards for 2005 from Travel.Ru of Russia. Pattaya emerged as the winner in the “Best Destination in Thailand” category, while the resort was declared winner in the “Best Beach Hotel in Thailand” category. Pattaya achieved the recognition for the first time, while the resort won the award for the third time in succession.

Star of Travel.Ru is an online poll conducted annually by Travel.Ru Co., Ltd to determine the preferred destinations of tourists traveling from the Russian Federation to other countries. The winners are decided by popular vote carried out on the Travel.Ru website www.travel.ru that is overseen by an elected Steering Committee of industry professionals. The committee confers the awards upon the winners, who receive the most number of votes in each individual category. Star of Travel.Ru Awards have gained remarkable recognition and support among the Russian travel industry professionals.

Royal Cliff Beach Resort’s Director of Sales Mr. Victor Kriventsov received the awards in Moscow on behalf of the resort and Pattaya city. The resort’s Managing Director Mrs. Panga Vathanakul, in her capacity as the Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation for Cholburi and Rayong provinces, recently presented the award won by Pattaya to the city’s Deputy Mayor Khun Wattana Chantanavaranont.

His Majesty the King’s 60th Years of Accession to Throne Hailed

More than 50 executives of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) recently signed the Commemorative Book at the Pattaya City Hall hailing the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne. The executives were led by the resort’s Managing Director Mrs. Panga Vathanakul and General Manager Mr. Alexander Haeusler.

Royal Cliff Beach Resort Welcomes World Famous Circus Artist

Pattaya, Thailand –The Royal Cliff Beach Resort recently welcomed Mr. Rolf Knie, world famous circus artist, acrobat, painter and actor of Switzerland.

Mr. Knie, who operates the 200-year-old sixth-generation Swiss circus company – Schweizer National-Circus AG, arrived here with his spouse Mrs. Anabela Knie on a vacation. As regular guests, the couple returned to the Royal Wing & Spa, one of the four 5-star hotels of the resort, to commemorate their honeymoon they had celebrated at the legendary Royal Cliff Beach Resort several years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Knie were welcomed by the resort’s General Manager Mr. Alexander Haeusler.
