Royal Cliff Beach Resort Holds Extensive Fire Training Camp

The Royal Cliff Beach Resort recently held an extensive fire training camp for its employees. The two-day training camp was conducted by the officials of the Fire Department of Pattaya. As many as 297 employees participated in the camp.
The camp was organised to develop the employees’ skills in the prevention of fire and other mishaps. Pattaya Fire Department Assistant Chief Mr. Suraporn Sawasvichien and Fire Officer Mr.Anucha Luangmueng made a presentation on various causes of fire and how to extinguish it.
The participants also took part in a live demonstration, which included evacuation of people from a building in the event of fire, usage of portable water pump and fire extinguishers, putting out fire emanating from a cooking gas cylinder.

Royal Cliff Wine Club Hosts PB Valley Khao Yai Winery Tour

The Royal Cliff Wine Club, Thailand’s leading wine club, recently hosted a tour of the spectacular PB Valley Khao Yai Winery for its distinguished members.
Situated on the edge of the Khao Yai National Park in Nakhorn Ratchasima, the PB Valley Khao Yai Winery sits amidst a lush 320-hectare plantation, of which 80 hectares (500 rai) is dedicated to growing grapes. Now into its 16th year of operation, the winery has become the birthplace of Thailand’s premium wines. The Wine Club members, who took part in this exciting tour, had a hands-on experience in grape harvesting and a chance to taste new vintages of PB valley Khao Yai wines at the winery.
Earlier, the Wine Club members were welcomed by Khun Piya Bhirombhakdi, Chief Executive Officer of Boonrawd Brewery Co., Ltd. and the owner of PB Valley Khao Yai Winery. Khun Prayut Piangbunta, Manager and Chief Winemaker of the winery, conducted the tour, which was followed by tasting of all new vintages PB Khao Yai wines from the barrels. The members were also treated to a sumptuous wine lunch at the Great Hornbill restaurant located at the picturesque winery.

Exhibition and convention industry media from China, Taiwan and India recently visited the multi award-winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort and the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), a world-class exhibition and convention facility of the Resort, as part of a familiarisation (FAM) trip.
Organised by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and the Trade Exhibition Association (TEA), the Industry Media Familiarization Trip was aimed at promoting Thailand as ASEAN’s premier exhibition hub. The Royal Cliff Beach Resort Managing Director Mrs. Panga Vathanakul welcomed the delegates and gave a multimedia presentation of the resort’s four 5-star hotels and their myriad facilities and services. The visitors were treated to a sumptuous buffet lunch at the picturesque Panorama Restaurant with its stunning sea views.
After lunch they were given a presentation on Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall – PEACH – and were led on a tour of the facility, which offers a unique combination of a world-class multipurpose meeting venue together with the services and facilities of the 5-star Royal Cliff Beach Resort, voted “Best Meetings & Conventions Hotel Asia-Pacific’ in 2005.
The visiting journalists included Mr. Yang Tao, Economic Daily, Ms. Yu Cailing, China Exhibition Convention, and Ms. Guo Hong, International Business Daily (China), Mr. Willis Ke, China Economic News Service, Ms. Grace Kuan, Event Platform, and Ms. Lin Chu Ching, Commercial Times (Taiwan), and Ms. Banasree Purkayashtha, The Financial Express, Mr. Sudipto Dey, The Economic Times and Mr. Kamlesh Trivedi, Business Standard (India).

Royal Cliff Beach Resort Achieves ISO 9001 Re-accreditation

The multi award-winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort recently achieved ISO 9001:2000 re-accreditation for its quality management system from TÜV NORD CERT GmbH of Germany.
The re-accreditation was awarded in recognition of the Resort’s management system in such areas as Front Office, Food & Beverage Services, Meeting & Conference Services and Housekeeping Services. Earlier, TÜV NORD conducted an extensive audit of the services and facilities at the Resort and found the ISO 9001:2000 requirements to be fulfilled.
Since its inception in 1973, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort has won several awards, the most recent ones being the Star of Travel.Ru Award from Zvezda Travel of Russia, EIA Monitoring Award 2005 from Thailand’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator magazine (New York), Best Meetings & Conventions Hotel in Asia from Travel Trade Gazette (Asia) and Pacific Asia Travel Association, and the Green Planet Award 2005 from Kuoni Travel Group (Switzerland).

In celebration of the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort recently organised a sterling event – A Grand Night At The Bolshoi Opera – at the Grand Ballroom of the Royal Cliff Grand & Spa.
Organised in association with the Embassy of Russia and Pattaya Mail, the event featured award-winning and world-famous “Bolshoi Opera” artistes of Russia – Larisa Rudakova (Soprano), Alexey Dolgov (Tenor) and Elena Ostroukhova (Piano). The artistes performed several captivating renditions of excerpts from timeless international operatic classics such as Duet from “Carmen” composed by G. Bizet, Romance of Adina and Nemorino from “Love Drink” by G. Donicetti and Brindisi from “La Traviata” by G. Verdi.
