The Royal Cliff Beach Resort Initiates the use of the USB flash drive for PR and Sales

The Royal Cliff Beach Resort announces the introduction of the USB flash drive to distribute promotional materials.  The Royal Cliff is a market leader in environmental conservation.  One of the first in the Asian hospitality industry to take the initiative of reducing its carbon footprint by using the USB flash drive, the Royal Cliff is reducing the use of printed materials for public relations and sales.

Facts and Figures: The Carbon Footprint

On average, each year, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort participates in 6 international MICE trade shows as well as 8 road shows abroad.  At each show, we prepare and distribute approximately 20 kilograms of paper-based promotional sales literature.  The impact on the environment is substantial.  Using the USB flash drive will:

• Save approximately 5 mature, fully grown trees cut down to produce the 280 kilos of printed materials used by the Royal Cliff MICE team each year at trade and road shows.
• Eliminate the 11.88 tons of carbon that is produced when shipping brochures to those shows each year.
• Allow immediate updating as new information comes online.
• Reduce the waste of discarded and aging printed materials produced by the travel industry.

By offering promotional materials on the USB flash drive, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort continues its commitment to environmental conservation.  The Resort has been recognized for environmental conservation with awards from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (Thailand) and TUI AG Environmental Management (Germany).  It is listed on The Best Green Hotel website as an environmentally friendly hotel implementing 17 different measures to conserve.  It has also twice won the “Green Planet Award” from Kuoni Travel, Switzerland, most recently in 2007-2008.

Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall expansion launch at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort

Pattaya, Thailand - HRH Princess Ubolrat Ratchakalya Siriwattana Pannawadi graciously presided over the official launch of the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) Expansion Ceremony on November 22, 2008. Marking the 35^th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort, the PEACH expansion now makes the convention center the second largest meeting venue in Thailand, placing it squarely on regional and global agendas. PEACH was officially inaugurated by HE Gen. Prem Tinsulanonda in November 2000.

The “Glamour and Glitter” reception brought together leaders in government, tourism, business and professional organizations to celebrate both the 35^th anniversary of the Royal Cliff and the PEACH Expansion Launch. A dazzling event, reflecting the 5-Star luxury standard maintained by the Royal Cliff Beach Resort for decades, the guests enjoyed songs and dances performed by stars in the entertainment industry as well as multi-media presentations, light shows and fireworks. The evening climaxed with a moving tribute to HRH Princess Ubolrat’s To Be Number One program, which focuses upon positive alternatives for teenagers at risk, which is also aligned with the Royal Cliff Beach Resort mission statement in being the number one in the hospitality industry.

The Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) is a world-class multipurpose exhibition and meeting facility of the award-winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort offering complete versatility and flexibility. The Royal Cliff Beach Resort - Brief History

From modest beginnings with the 88-room Royal Cliff Terrace in 1973, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort has demonstrated tremendous growth in the years since. A year after the opening of the first hotel, the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel came into existence. Over the next twelve years, the new 527-room hotel—the largest at the resort—together with the Royal Cliff Terrace, established a worldwide reputation as the place to stay in Asia and so the Royal Cliff legend was born.

In 1986, the exclusive all-suites Royal Wing & Spa, a hotel with the accent on the highest standards of service and hospitality opened its doors to guests. Currently comprised of 85 luxurious suites, including 2 lavish Presidential Suites, the 5-star plus Royal Wing & Spa remains to this day the resort’s flagship hotel.

The newest of the resort’s four hotels, the elegant 372-room Royal Cliff Grand, was completed in 1992 and today serves as the Royal Cliff Beach Resort’s most corporate-styled hotel. With 10 meeting rooms and 2 ballrooms as well as high-speed Internet access throughout the hotel, the Royal Cliff Grand serves as the primary meetings and conference-related hotel venue as well.

Late in 1999, a major addition was made to the resort’s already extensive range of meeting, incentive, convention and exhibition facilities. This was the multipurpose stand-alone meeting venue – the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), with room to easily cater to over 5,000 delegates. As one of Thailand’s newest and most state-of-the-art venues, PEACH is ideal for numerous types of events, from conventions, exhibitions and product launches to gala banquets, weddings and concerts.

Within months of the opening of PEACH, the Cliff Spa came into existence. Year 2008 AAT & Supplier Conference held at PEACH

Thailand’s Leading automobile manufacturing, Auto Alliance Thailand has recentely held their Year 2008 AAT & Supplier Conference at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), a facility of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort

Auto Alliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established in November 1995 as a joint venture company between Ford Motor Company and Mazda Motor Corporation, to produce pickup trucks for both local and overseas markers. Ford, which own 50% of the company’s shares, is the major share holder while Mazda, with 45%, hold a slightly smaller stake. The remaining 5% stake is of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Mr. Kiyotaka Shobuda, President of Auto Alliance was welcomed by Royal Cliff Beach Resort General Manager Mr. Alexander Haeusler.

Massive Halls
The main hall at PEACH, useful for large congregations, can be conveniently divided into four smaller sections: PEACH A, PEACH B, PEACH C and PEACH D. These are the most common arrangement of halls at the facility. With soundproof walls and partitions, four large meetings can take place simultaneously. These four halls can be further sub-divided into a total of nine separate sections. All the partitions used at PEACH are interlocking and soundproof.

Flexible Meeting Rooms
