PEACH to host Money Expo Pattaya 2009

Pattaya, Thailand – The Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), a world-class multipurpose meeting facility of the award-winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort, will host the MONEY EXPO PATTAYA 2009 from 06 to 08 February 2009.
The event full title is “Money Expo Pattaya 2009 : Easy loan with low interest, Deposit with high interest, Invest with high return”, is organised by Money & Banking Magazine. It will involve 16 organisations from the private and public sectors, where banks and other financial institutions will be offering a variety of promotions.
Among this year’s highlights are a range of financial and investment-related products, SME products. The Commercial banks and other financial institutions will be participated in this event are Bangkok Bank, Thai Farmer Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, Bank of Ayudhaya, Thai Military Bank, Siam City Bank, Bank Thai, Government Saving Bank, Government Housing Bank, Ayudhaya Auto Lease Co. Ltd., AEON Thana Sinsap Co. Ltd. and Muang Thai Life Assurance including other 4 Government organization: The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), The Revenue Department, Office of Insurance Commission and Sinsulp Bangkok Commercial Co. Ltd.
Other highlights include entertaining games and activities, prizes and giveaways, and mini-concerts from well-known artists.
Mr Santi Viriyarungsarit, Editor-in-Chief of Money & Banking Magazine, who is the chairman in hosting the Expo said “As Pattaya become a 2nd largest financial centre of Thailand, Money Expo Pattaya 2009 will make all resident and business section in Pattaya altogether nearby province such as Cholburi, Rayong, Chachuengsao, and Chanthaburi where the population more than 3.1 million will have an opportunity to choose the service of Financial and Investment Institutions directly “. In 2008, there were about 620,000 visitors at the Expo, with a record transactions totaling about 64,000 million baht.

Pattaya, Thailand - HRH Princess Ubolrat Ratchakalya Siriwattana Pannawadi graciously presided over the official launch of the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) Expansion Ceremony on November 22, 2008. Marking the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort, the PEACH expansion now makes the convention center the second largest meeting venue in Thailand, placing it squarely on regional and global agendas. PEACH was officially inaugurated by HE Gen. Prem Tinsulanonda in November 2000.

Thailand’s Leading automobile manufacturing, Auto Alliance Thailand has recentely held their Year 2008 AAT & Supplier Conference at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), a facility of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort
Auto Alliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established in November 1995 as a joint venture company between Ford Motor Company and Mazda Motor Corporation, to produce pickup trucks for both local and overseas markers. Ford, which own 50% of the company’s shares, is the major share holder while Mazda, with 45%, hold a slightly smaller stake. The remaining 5% stake is of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Mr. Kiyotaka Shobuda, President of Auto Alliance was welcomed by Royal Cliff Beach Resort General Manager Mr. Alexander Haeusler.

As many as 500 civic authorities from across the Asia Pacific region assembled at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), a world-class meetings facility of the multi award-winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort, to participate in the 2nd United Cities and Local Governments - Asia Pacific Regional Section (UCLG - ASPAC) Congress 2008 held from 15 to 18 July.
Themed “Sustainable Cities and Local Governments for a Sustainable World”, the four-day event was organised by the National Municipal League of Thailand (NMT) in association with United Cities and Local Governments (ULCG) Asia Pacific Regional Section, UNESCO, UNDP and UN Habitat.
The ULCG is the largest local government organization dedicated to promoting the values, objectives and interests of cities and local governments across the globe. It is the largest local government organisation in the world with a diverse membership that includes both individual cities and national associations of local governments. It promotes the policies and experiences of local governments in key areas such as poverty, sustainable development and social inclusion. The United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific Regional Section (UCLG ASPAC) is one of its seven regional arms.
The ULCG ASPAC Congress 2008 was inaugurated by Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Sahas Bunditkul. NMT President Mr. Prapat Poocharoen, the league’s Executive Committee Members Mr. Chatkul Chuenswankul and Mr. Samun Rukborisutsri were among those who participated in the opening ceremony.
The congress offered a common platform for the experts and practitioners in decentralisation, local governance and sustainable development to learn about new challenges and exchange their views and experiences. The event that included several plenary/breakout sessions and general assembly, culminated in a colourful Award Presentation and Gala Dinner held in Hall ‘A’ of PEACH.
