Royal Cliff Beach Resort Restructures its sales force to further strengthen market position.

The multi award-winning has restructured its Sales & Marketing Department as part of its plan to further strengthen its position in fast growing markets.

The re-organised Sales & Marketing Department is now headed by its Director Victor Kriventsov, who has been with the resort for over 11 years in various Sales & Marketing-related positions. Michael Swart, Senior Sales Manager – International, has been elevated to Deputy Director of Sales & Marketing.

The Leisure, , Domestic and e-commerce sales teams, the marketing communications team and the event management team have been integrated to provide enhanced customer service and for operational ease, efficiency and increased performance.

In line with this strategic move, new positions – Senior Sales & Marketing Manager for the UK and Ireland, Senior Sales Manager for the European Zone and Sales Manager for , Europe – were created to enhance the Resort’s international sales force to take advantage of the expanding markets.

Michael Passmore, a Briton, is Senior Sales & Marketing Manager with specific responsibility for the UK and Ireland markets. Passmore previously held senior positions with multinational corporations in the Middle East.

Passmore’s appointment was preceded by Rudolf Roithmayr’s, who joined the sales force as Senior Sales Manager for Europe. Roithmayr has worked in Thailand for 8 years and previously held key industry positions in Phuket and Koh Samui.

Further, Briton Mark Smith will join the team as Sales Manager for from 1 November. Smith brings 8 years of experience as a travel industry professional.

Announcing this in a statement on Thursday (18 October 2007), Mrs. Panga Vathanakul, Managing Director of the and Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) said: “We are confident that our reorganised and enhanced team will add even further business growth and position us to successfully meet future challenges.”

Pattaya, Mr. Kittisak Thongsan, of Caprice Restaurant & Bar, Royal Wing & Spa, one of the four 5-star of the Beach Resort, won the first prize at a Contest held in conjunction with the recently concluded Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo ’07.

Mr. Kittisak stole the show displaying his flaming skills and acrobatic bottle flips while making the Resort’s newest cocktail Flaming Passion, specially created for the occasion. The first prize consisted of a gold medal, trophy, citation and a cash reward. In all, 19 bartenders from various in Pattaya participated in the contest.

Flaming Passion is a seamless blend of imported and local spirits as well as fresh fruit juices with an elegant touch of grenadine syrup. The prize-winning cocktail was launched on 1 Sept. as the “Cocktail of the Month” in restaurants and bars at the Beach Resort.

In recognition of his remarkable achievement, Beach Resort’s Managing Director Mrs. Panga Vathanakul presented a Certificate of Appreciation and a cash prize to Mr. Kittisak.

DSC00113The executives and staff of the Sales & Marketing Department, one of the busiest departments in the Royal Cliff Beach , finally went for a fun-filled outing last Friday (14 Sept). With delicious meats, sizzling barbeques, freshest seafood and, last but not the least, exotic drinks offered in an all-you-can-eat , a “Friday Night Fever” kind of atmosphere descended on the venue - Sampan BBQ on Pattaya 2nd Pattaya

Many attendees felt that such kind of fun activities should be oraganised as regularly as possible, which will help the department in building an optimistic and energetic team and achieving its common goals. :-)

Mr. George Samios, Wine Ambassador for Foster’s Wine Estates, one of Australia’s largest wine companies and the exporter of Wolf Blass Wines, recently held an extensive wine training camp for the Food & Beverage staff of the Royal Cliff Beach .

The training encompassed several topics, including vineyards and wineries in Australia and the history of Wolf Blass Wines and its founder Mr. Wolf Blass, a German who had migrated to Australia in 1961 with 100 pounds in his pocket and eventually established Australia’s most successful wine company.

The event, which was co-sponsored by Canpac Beverages Ltd., culminated in a tasting of some famous wine labels of Wolf Blass.

Foster’s General Manager for Southeast Asia Mr. Jake Jacob, Canpac’s Mr. Ekachai Mahaguna and Royal Cliff Beach Deputy General Manager and Royal Cliff Wine Mr. Ranjith Chandrasiri and the ’s Food & Beverages Director Mr. Paitoon Ritdej were among those present.

Royal Cliff Beach Resort Holds Extensive Fire Training Camp

The Royal Cliff Beach Resort recently held an extensive fire training camp for its employees. The two-day training camp was conducted by the officials of the Fire Department of Pattaya. As many as 297 employees participated in the camp.

The camp was organised to develop the employees’ skills in the prevention of fire and other mishaps. Pattaya Fire Department Assistant Chief Mr. Suraporn Sawasvichien and Fire Officer Mr.Anucha Luangmueng made a presentation on various causes of fire and how to extinguish it.
The participants also took part in a live demonstration, which included evacuation of people from a building in the event of fire, usage of portable water pump and fire extinguishers, putting out fire emanating from a cooking gas cylinder.
