Beautification work at the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel

We here at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort continuously strive to improve not only our service standards but also our facilities. As such renovations and beautification of the Resort is a never ending task.
The poolside area at the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel is one of the most popular and also most photographed areas, especially when it it comes to spectacular outdoor theme functions. The main pool (as we like to call it), can cater for outdoor banquets up to 2500 people and this has also then the venue for our annual new year celebrations amongst many other.
We are currently busy to touch up the area around the main pool at the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, by adding a bit of greenery and colour to the area. The below artist impressions will give you an idea of what it is like now and what it will look like when down.
Main pool area
The below image is a floor plan of the main pool area where the beautification work is taking place
The below images is the far corner of the main pool
Top picture is what it looks like now and below is after beautification work
The below images are the area on the side of the main stage, currently with some small plants, this will be replaced by small trees
Just below the main pool is a area we call the Sunset terrace. There is a short walkway joining the two areas. In the below images you will see how this area will be improved
Not many people know this but most of the main pool patio is actually the roof of our banquet store where we store things like banquet table and chair.
Currently we have some large trees in the area, which are very messy and not green all the time. These will be replaced with palm trees and some climbing plants
The main pool area has a large stage which is used mainly for very large groups of over 1000 persons. For smaller groups up to a 1000 persons we have a smaller stage, this will be beautified with some art work
Most probably the most visible change of all is the addition of lawn areas on th steps around the patio area of the main pool.
This is being done as we speak and it is really very beautiful, adding some more greenery to the paved areas
We hope that you will have the opportunity to visit us in the near future so as to see these changes for yourselves. If you would like to see some more images of the main pool or the rest of the resort, then please follow this link to our photo page

The multi award-winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort recently celebrated its elevation to the “TTG Travel Hall of Fame” at a colourful Awards Celebration Party held at the poolside of the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel.
The Royal Cliff Beach Resort became the first hotel in the world and the first tourism business in Thailand to be elevated to the “TTG Travel Hall of Fame” at the 17th Annual Travel Awards 2006, held in Pattaya on 12 October. Induction into the coveted Travel Hall of Fame is an accolade given only if an organisation has won at least 10 awards in TTG Travel Awards instituted by the Travel Trade Gazette Asia (TTG Asia) and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).
Since the inception of the Awards 17 years ago, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort has won 11 such awards – the Best Resort Hotel - Asia Pacific award for eight consecutive years from 1989 and the Best Meetings & Conventions Hotel award in 2002, 2004 and 2005. In recognition of this unique achievement, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort was inducted into the prestigious TTG Travel Hall of Fame, becoming the first representative from Thailand and the first Hotel in all of Asia to be admitted. So far, only three other organisations in the world have achieved this elevation.

Mr. Sakthip Krairiksh (9th from left), Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Mr.Pracha Taerat (9th from right), Provincial Governor of Cholburi, Mrs. Panga Vathanakul (centre), Managing Director of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), and other invited guests and executives of the Resort at the TTG Travel Hall of Fame Awards Celebration Party.
Congratulating the management and staff of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH, Mr. Sakthip Krairiksh, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, said, “The elevation of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort to the TTG Travel Hall of Fame is truly a remarkable achievement and a tribute to the standards of Thailand’s Tourism industry, showing that Thailand can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world. It also serves as a recognition of how Pattaya has moved with the times and reinvented itself as a truly world class Tourism destination.”
Pattaya is Thailand’s favourite beach resort, attracting over three and a quarter million international visitors annually and today has earned a reputation for developing emerging markets such as Russia, India and China and MICE business, as well as retaining a healthy share of the mature markets, he observed.
Earlier in her welcome address, Mrs. Panga Vathanakul, Managing Director of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH, said the 34 year history of the Resort has been honoured with numerous awards and citations from distinguished organisations around the world, the most recent being the ‘Thailand Tourism Award of Excellence as the Best Convention Hotel in the Eastern Region’.
“But the news that the Royal Cliff Beach Resort has been elevated to the TTG Travel Hall of Fame marks a milestone for us – and indeed, for Thailand’s Hotel industry. Our elevation to the TTG Travel Hall of Fame inspires all of us to continue to strive to achieve the best in all that we do. This award is an endorsement of Thailand’s Tourism industry and of the world class standards which our country can achieve – thank you all, for helping us to achieve it,” Mrs. Panga added.
The Awards Celebration Party was attended by top representatives of travel agencies, industry partners and media.
